KFC has launched a new limited-edition meatless burger in China called the “Cheese Thick Mushroom Vegetarian Burger”.
The burger contains battered Portobello mushroom slices stuffed with four melted cheeses (four!) surrounded by tomatoes and lettuce between two buns.
Despite trying my best to be vegan I knew I *had* to try this burger. I mean who else is going to? I have a duty to report back to the vegetarian community on how the burger tastes because how else will they know? See my review in the video below.
I’m hope more fast food restaurants add veggie/vegan options so there’s more wonderful food I can consume.
God, you hate the chips.
In Shanghai, you need to say: xiaxia nong, instead of xixi.
Don’t know how to say mayo in Chinese though.
Well done on braving KFC burger.
(No meat is less risky I guess, what can go wrong with mushrooms?)
Btw, I had vegan burger last Wednesday without bun as well. The pat is nice. But not the rest of the stuff, especially at £8.25. I’m so not impressed. Recommend honest burger’s beyond meat though.

Haha, don’t worry. Xiexie is actually one of the only Chinese word I can spell.
