Celebrating Thanksgiving in China

I won another competition!

Thanks to Cue and Tianmi Bakery I got to experience my first ever Thanksgiving dinner. It was a wonderful affair filled with delicious food and friendly company amidst a lavish setting.

I won the ticket, valued at 298RMB, by simply sharing the poster on my WeChat moments (similar to facebook’s wall feature).

As if the evening wasn’t already magical enough the first snow of winter descended upon Beijing at the same time!

I feasted on cornbread stuffing, mashed sweet potato, southern style cabbage, autumn salad, peach cobbler, apple crisp, and a drink called Chai yai yai (I ignored all the meat).

In the video below you can see me getting ready for the dinner, enjoying the dinner, and then getting un-ready at home.
